CommUNITY Pull-Ups/Hope Fests
We believe that every community member should have access to the resources they need to thrive. To achieve this, we host monthly and annual resource events throughout Pomona, known as CommUNITY Pull-Ups and Hope Fests. These events facilitate vital connections between community members and local service providers, addressing gaps in resource access, promoting social equity, and enhancing community well-being.
At these events, community members can access free resources such as haircuts, food security, clothing, employment and career services, sanitation supplies, healthcare screenings, housing referrals, legal assistance, and substance treatment options, to name a few. Our partners include nonprofits, advocacy groups, healthcare providers, local colleges, and more.

Community Action for Peace Coalitions
In partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Violence Prevention and Rising Communities, we co-established and coordinate the Pomona and Puente Valley Community Action for Peace (CAP) Coalitions. These violence prevention coalitions are committed to breaking cycles of violence and fostering healing through non-punitive, community-led change.
Founded in 2023, the CAP coalitions unite a diverse range of voices—including local residents, grassroots and community-based organizations, faith leaders, schools, and other stakeholders—to tackle the root causes of violence in our neighborhoods. Together, we create spaces where healing can happen and work collaboratively to build a safer community through collective action and shared responsibility.
