In 2023, Project Hope CA partnered with the LA County Department of Public Health, Rising Communities, and a network of Pomona community-based organizations and stakeholders, to establish the Pomona Community Action for Peace (Pomona CAP). The Pomona Community Action for Peace (Pomona CAP) is driven by a shared commitment to addressing the root causes of violence and creating a safer, more equitable city for both victims of violence and those involved in it.

Since our inaugural meeting in February 2023, Pomona CAP has experienced remarkable growth and progress. We have brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including nonprofits, faith-based organizations, hospitals, and more, all united by their passion for violence prevention and community well-being. By fostering collaboration and communication, we have created a space where service providers can align their resources, network, and work collectively towards a common goal.

The coalition firmly believes in the power of unity and collective impact. Instead of working in isolation, we collaborate closely, breaking down silos and fostering unity. By leveraging our collective expertise and resources, we are able to develop and implement effective violence prevention initiatives that address the underlying causes of violence and contribute to sustainable change in Pomona.
