Community Action for Peace
In partnership with the Los Angeles County Office of Violence Prevention, the Pomona and Puente Valley Community Action for Peace (CAP) coalitions bring together community members and organizations to interrupt cycles of violence, strengthen collective well-being, and foster healing through non-punitive, community-led solutions.
Founded in 2023, the CAP coalitions unite a diverse range of voices—including local residents, grassroots and community-based organizations, faith leaders, schools, and other stakeholders—to tackle the root causes of violence in our neighborhoods. Together, we create spaces where healing can happen and work collaboratively to build a safer community through collective action and shared responsibility.
