WAGEES Reentry Program

The WAGEES Program assists justice-involved youth and young adults and prepares them for employment through education, job training, paid work experiences, mentorship, conflict resolution, leadership development, and case management. In addition to job training and paid work experiences, this program provides support with obtaining unsubsidized employment and/or postsecondary education.

HIRE Reentry Program

The H.I.R.E. (Helping Justice Involved Reenter Employment) Program serves youth and adults between the ages of 16 - 30 who reside in Pomona and the San Gabriel Valley. This program provides comprehensive education and workforce services to participants, enabling them to pursue or advance in educational and career pathways. Services include paid work experiences, job training and placement, access to industry-recognized credentials, college and career support, case management, mentoring, leadership development, and more!

R2R (Ready to Rise) Program

The R2R (Ready to Rise) Program serves youth in Pomona and La Puente (16–24) who have been directly or indirectly impacted by the justice system. This program provides comprehensive education and workforce services to participants, enabling them to pursue or advance in educational and career pathways.

Services include paid work experiences, job training and placement, access to industry-recognized credentials, college and career support, case management, mentoring, leadership development, and more!

Reentry Action for Youth (DYD-RAY) Program Referral Form

The Reentry Action for Youth (RAY) Program is part of LA County’s Department of Youth Development (DYD), supporting equity through prevention, early intervention, and reentry—rooted in youth development and care.

The RAY Program serves justice justice court involved youth ages 12 to 25 in Los Angeles County. This includes youth currently or formerly in probation facilities, under community supervision, or recently released. Priority is given to youth transitioning out of detention facilities and those referred by defense counsel, juvenile courts, or probation.

Services include:

  • Mentorship: Youth are paired with a mentor with lived experience
  • Resource navigation: Youth are connected to essential services such as housing assistance, job training, substance use treatment, educational resources, and other support systems to meet their specific needs.
  • Monetary incentives: Youth receive a $200 monthly stipend for up to 12 months, totalling $2400
  • Financial assistance:  Youth can access discretionary funds for various needs including rent assistance, transportation, food, clothing, employment uniforms & license fees, education and tutorial expenses,  
  • Court Accompaniment: Mentors accompany youth during court proceeds to offer advocacy and emotional support

Program duration: 

6 to 12 months, based on individual needs
